Woman Crush Wednesday is a new podcast brought to you by three of your favorite WCWs. These three ladies talk about everything, literally EVERYTHING you and your friends discuss in private. Far from shy they share personal stories and deliver the funniest but realest advice. You are guaranteed to be nodding your heads and laughing the entire episode.
Normally these ladies tackle a number of subjects head on, from taboo topics such as sex, from male birth control to the daily nuances of living in NYC, and no rock is left unturned. Their show is like playing a game of Cards Against Humanity, you never really know what’s coming, but 10 times out of 9 it’s going to be absolutely hilarious. Coming up you can expect to see more collabs, interviews, and obviously more real, unadulterated discussion.
The hosts, Tia, Wynter, and Akyra got together when Wynter introduced the idea of the WCW podcast, shortly after, their discussion turned into a reality.
Host#1: Wynter, 26 years old, from Queens, NY is like the love child of Charlamagne Tha God and Iyanla Vanzant. She has a slick mouth, yet she delivers sound advice. An aspiring radio host, and “mom” of the podcasts, her input is often logical, but delivered in her very own special way. She attended Adelphi University and graduated with a Bachelor of Social Work in 2012.
Host#2: Akyra, also known as AK, is literally like a semi automatic rifle. She is 23 years old, and also a Queens native. Self-proclaimed “Queen of Plot Twists,” she always has a comeback, and shots will most definitely be fired. She attended Pace University and graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Psychology in 2015, she also has aspirations of becoming a sex therapist.
Host#3: Tia, also 26 years old, is from Brooklyn, NY. She is the self-proclaimed “Good Girl” of the group; however Stevie J is also known as a “Good Guy” and we all know that is not the whole truth. Similarly to Stevie, Tia has her quiet moments but when she unleashes, I advise you take a step back. Her seemingly innocent nature brings a softness to the group, yet do not be fooled, she does have some bite.
These three ladies remind me of my motto, “nothing in life is a coincidence”. All of these women were heading down different paths, it just so happens that they were led to do this podcast, and have brought you all this dope show to tune into every week. As I said before about them, "Everyday is WCW"!
Their latest podcasts include collaboration with He-Man Woman Haters Club. The He-Man Woman Haters Club is a group of young men discussing pretty similar topics to the ladies of WCW, but from a male perspective. This week they released their 6th episode, featuring Shurida Lundi, who is a music reviewer for Fresh Juice FMHipHop and social media manager for sashanycole.com I encourage you to check it out.
