A couple of months ago I wrote a piece about Chicago trainer, Charles ‘Traps’ Robinson. The reason I wrote about Traps was because I had heard nothing but good things about him, and my line sister trained with him, and she had great results. However, in trying to stay true to the goal of my blog, I deemed it necessary that I actually use Traps’ services.
I was looking for some workouts to help me achieve my athletic goals, so I contacted Traps seeking athletic training, even though I’m not in Chicago. At the time he didn’t offer online training, but he was having a challenge coming up and he sent me the flier for it. Upon receiving the flier for the Traps’ 21 Day Lifestyle Change Challenge, I looked it over and decided I would take part. I figured it couldn’t hurt, plus I could stand to lose a few pounds anyway. Now, I’m extremely competitive, so I knew going into this that I would be going hard in the paint because I don’t like to lose anything, so that’s exactly what I did for 21 days, I went H.A.M.
How the challenge works:
A couple of days before the challenge starts, he sent an email explaining how the challenge works; there will be 2 winners (cash prize and mystery prize), a meal guide (7 Days, 3 meals/day), and the link to joining the closed Facebook group for the challenge. The night before the first day, Traps sent out another email with Day 1’s workout, which included the number of sets and reps of each exercise, rest times, and a video of how to do each exercise. Traps sent out emails with workouts daily, unless it was a rest day. The Facebook group was there for us to asks questions, vent about the workouts, seek support, or just check in for updates.
Needless to say, today is December 23rd, and I completed the challenge (Dec. 1st to Dec. 21st). I followed all of the workouts; but I did do some extra ones on rest days, which was permitted. As for the dieting portion, I didn’t follow Traps’ guide to the T, but I did use it to shape and form my own diet.

My Final Thoughts:
All in all, I’d say it was $15 well spent. I would recommend this to others, and I would definitely do this again. In fact, I already signed up for his January 21 Day Lifestyle Change Challenge.
The winners have not been chosen yet. However, I ended up with a 12.6-pound weight loss over the course of 3 weeks, and I’m down a dress size. Below you will see my progress pictures.
